Ninkear Mini-PC M8 - Your Gaming Console based on Ryzen 7 and Radeon 780M.

Ninkear Mini-PC M8 - Your Gaming Console based on Ryzen 7 and Radeon 780M.

We are introducing an Mini-PC that doesn't make noise, doesn't heat up, and even doesn't slow down. Inside is the powerful Ryzen 7 and Radeon 780M graphics.

The novelty from Ninkear attracted many attentions with its powerful filling for an adequate price tag. This is almost a gaming mini-PC, with a set of all the necessary ports. At the same time, it still fits in the palm of your hand. We took this computer for tests so that you don't have to spend your money to buy it. Although based on the results of the tests, I can say that it is worth the money, and it definitely attracts attention. The ratio of filling / price / performance is worked out with a bang here. Now it is a small box that will fully replace a large system unit, will not make noise, collect dust and consume a lot of energy. Let's go!" to the builds and switch to a Mini-PC. After all, here you can edit videos, and process photos, and play, and work, and watch a movie.

Packaging & Picking

The mini PC comes in a box with an updated design. And by the way, judging by the information from the manufacturer, now most of the new models will have a redesign of the packaging. So in the near future we are waiting for an abundance of beautiful boxes.

The configuration for the computer is considered as standard. The kit includes both the Mini-PC itself and a power supply, an HDMi cord and instructions with a warranty card.

The bundled power supply is quite serious, but at the same time the dimensions are pleasing. Still, GAN PSUs allow you to make compact but powerful power supplies.

The HDMI cord here is standard, 1 meter long. This is enough to connect, and if you need a longer one, then you already buy your own.

The complete instruction already has a standard language, including Russian. True, there is also nothing interesting or useful in it as standard.

In general, the set can be called standard. Except that there is no VESA mount here. But it is as if it is not provided for this PC in principle. It is intended by the manufacturer to be a powerful desktop computer.

Appearance of Ninkear Mini-PC M8

Now let's look at the computer itself. And it is really worthy of attention, because this time Ninkear engineers did their best together with the designers, and gave us a product that really looks beautiful and will look great on the desktop.

Let's start the inspection from the front side of the Mini-PC. Here we have two USB A USB 3.2 ports and a full-fledged Type-C port with support for image output, etc. A little to the left is a 3.5 aux, a power button and a forced reset hole.

By the way, the power button, made in the Orange Hermes color, which Ninkear announced as its corporate color, also looks pretty good. So there is still a lot of orange ahead of us.

On the left and right side ends there are small grates for air intake. Through them, you can even see the filling a little, but only slightly. The mesh is fine enough to prevent foreign objects from getting inside the computer.

But on the back of the computer, we have all the fun. DC port for power connection, two LAN 2.5G ports, HDMI, DP, and two USB A, one of which is 2.0 and the other is 3.2.

In general, the set of ports is very adequate and correct. Except that there will be questions about the dual LAN port, but this is just a fashionable solution now, which in fact is needed in few scenarios. But if they did, then let it be.

As for the top side, here we have the manufacturer's logo and engraved lines. Making the case visually divided into several parts. It looks quite organic.

Well, at the bottom we placed a round ledge as a stand. With a rubber ring. For a secure position on the table and for air intake to cool the rest of the elements.

Thanks to this ring, the mini PC stands confidently on the table, and at the same time slightly rises. The solution was clearly borrowed from some Apple device, but we won't say which one. Although now it has become interesting to get this device to compare.

By the way, the new mini PC is clearly larger than the N150 variants, but still quite compact. Here's an example of a photo of the dimensions of the Mini-PC along took with  a mobile phone.

By the way, the displacement of this computer is only 0.86 liters. That is, it is still very, very compact. And most importantly, even under load, the computer does not make noise. But we will discuss all this in the next part of the review.

Performance tests, benchmarks

Having examined the computer externally, you can move on to the filling. Traditionally, we start with CPU-Z indicators so that it is clear what we have inside in terms of filling.

As you can see, the computer is built on a fairly powerful AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS processor (8 cores / 16 threads, up to 4.9 GHz). DDR5 memory running at a frequency of 4800, in full dual-channel. And the Radeon 780M video core (RDNA 3, 12 CU, up to 2600 MHz) is responsible for the graphics.

If you measure the CPU level with the built-in benchmark, it will be approximately equal to the I9-11900K. But this is only a partial coincidence, because the chip from AMD still turned out to be more powerful and at the same time less voracious. In addition, it was introduced in April 2025 and is in fact one of the new processors with new architectures. From the factory, it is announced as a processor with a TDP of up to 55W. at peak, 45W in fact. And this, by the way, is the reason why the case is increased in size, since in standard cases up to 10 cm can only be removed up to 30-40 watts of heat. Then throttling and overheating begins. It is difficult to go against physics.

The next test is PerformanceTest 11.0 Evaluation Version.

Here our subj scored a decent 5921 points. And if you look at each test separately, you can see that almost everywhere the indicators are either in the green zones or next to them. The problem arose only in the 3D graphics, but even there the indicators are at the level of 5129 points. Which is quite in line with the Radeon 780M and is not a bad thing. Quite predictable indicators, as well as proof that the manufacturer did not strangle the processor for the sake of economy. And we focused on a really working cooling system. And this is exactly what we will check now by running a stress test in AIDA64.

We even did two stress tests. One with the Stress GPU checkmark. The duration of the test was an hour and a half, and it did not cause any throttling. And HWiNFO indicators recorded only a short-term peak of maximum temperature at 93 degrees. With an average temperature of about 82.9 degrees. Which is more than in line with the normal operating temperatures. (Let me remind you that it was a test that lasted an hour and a half, and the processor itself worked close to maximum frequencies). However, judging by the HWiNFO indicators, the processor worked at an average TDP of 39W, which indicates that the processor was not fully loaded. Or rather, that this processor copes well with stress tests and does not even strain very much. Therefore, we drove the processor for another half an hour with the load on the GPU cores turned off, while getting the temperature already up to 95 degrees at the peak, with an average of 89.6 degrees. And this is on an already warmed up processor. But the processor itself still worked at an average of 39W of power out of the declared 45W. Except that there were a few peak takeoffs.

Therefore, having already realized that AIDA64 for 2025 AMD processors is an easy task, let's move on to OCCT and ran a few tests already there.

In addition to the main tests, we ran both the stress test and the performance test. As a result, we already got 45W in load, at a temperature of 92 degrees. This is a more serious load, but at the same time, the cooling system copes with it quite easily. Throughout the test, the computer made only a slight rustle, which is not only not annoying, it does not even attract attention. And 45W is already normal performance for this chip.

We continue to run tests. Now SSD. The drive installed from the factory has a capacity of 1TB. PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. This is confirmed by the readings of CrystalDiskInfo. And the read and write speed is 3500/3050Mb/s, which corresponds to the average. And more than enough for any task available on this computer.

Also, for those who are interested, we ran a couple of already familiar benches to understand the performance.

Cinebench R23 also has good results: 14292 points in the multi-core test and 1575 points in the single-core test.

Below are the tests in 3D Mark.

And in PCMark10, the system scored 5471 points. Details below.

If we summarize the results of benchmarks, we can understand that we have a very powerful system that can already be used not only for office work, but also for more serious workloads. Here you can already play games and even do video editing or photo processing without pain. Well, even 3D modeling in the same Fusion360 for not the most complex projects will work quite adequately here. In addition, the community has long appreciated the capabilities of the built-in Radeon 780M video core. Therefore, below I will show that you can play games with this mini PC.

To begin with, my favorite game. SnowRunner.

At medium settings, a confident 30+ frames. Quite at the level of modern consoles. The game is more than comfortable, which is what I did, stuck in tests for several hours. Forgetting that I just had to take screenshots.

God of War has a steady frame count of 30, dropping to 26-28 in some scenes.

In general, it is more than playable. If you lower the graphics parameters, you can safely complete the game. Especially if you play in the Story difficulty mode and just enjoy the story. Well, what if someone has not yet completed this game, then it is quite possible to do it on a sub-PC.

Well, simple indie games like CupHead or DeadCels don't even make sense to measure. They fly at the maximum possible frames.

Feel free to buy a wireless gamepad and go to conquer the universes of Ori, SteamWorldDig, Bastion. The computer gives you the confident use of such games.

What's Inside Ninkear Mini-PC M8 ?

Finally, a small unpacking. Decompression. You need to see what and how is assembled inside this PC, as well as make sure of the quality of this very assembly. Although we are sure of this in advance, since Ninkear has a very responsible approach to assembly and a properly built quality control chain.

In order to open the case, you need to unscrew the four screws from the bottom and slightly pick up the cover.

Inside, we see a high-quality layout of elements. A fast SSD drive, under which there is also a network card. And two DDR5 memory slots, each 16GB. Operating in a two-channel.

All anti-static stickers, conductors and softening pads are available.

The battery for the BIOS is now not glued and has a connector. If you need it, you can reset it.

Well, the only thing that upset me was the lack of a slot for a second M2 drive. I don't know why, but it was not implemented in this model. Although on the other hand, there are a lot of fast USB ports, so there will be no problems with the lack either. As well as taking into account the fact that the 1TB installed from the factory is also a very significant volume, which will last for a long time.

Conclusion

To summarize all of the above, we have a very solid and confidently balanced mini PC. In a compact case, everything you need for comfortable work, study, and even moderate gaming is collected here. Yes, this is not a replacement for a full-fledged RTX graphics card, but the built-in Radeon 780M is capable of more than it may seem at first. Especially if you are not chasing ultra settings and just want to play your favorite games - from indie to conditional AAA on medium graphics.

The system works quietly, does not overheat, and is confident even in stress tests. And this is nice. Because no one wants a mini PC to turn into a helicopter. The noise level is comfortable, the temperature is within the normal range. Memory is reserved. SSD is fast. The processor is new, relevant, powerful. Ports are available. And all this in a box is less than a liter in volume. For me personally, this is exactly the balance that should be in a modern desktop machine.

Of the minuses, to be honest, there is not much to complain about. Well, except that: there is no second M.2 slot - I would like to. There is no VESA mount - it may be useful to someone. There is no support for fast charging via USB-C - but this is already out of the realm of fantasy. Well, some people need an Oculink connector. True, as for me, this is a crutch.

So if you are looking for a Mini-PC not just "for the browser", but with the prospect of gaming, editing, work and a little entertainment, this is quite a working option. Moreover, it also has a pleasant appearance, a metal body and a logo of a well-known manufacturer. So the Ninkear M8 is a really new player in the Mini-PC market, we'll see it many more times. Since the car turned out to be really interesting. Not without disadvantages, of course, but we all know that there are no perfect devices. And here everything is done close to what a Mini-PC should be, which will confidently take place on the desktop and will not have compromises.
