Packaging & Picking

Let's start with the packaging. After all, it is the one who protects the device during transportation and in the case of using budget components, the laptop can suffer. In this case, there are no complaints about the manufacturer, as the device comes in several cardboard boxes with a foam seal for additional protection. The delivery set includes a branded pad and mouse. The laptop is powered by an external power supply. In the documentation, you can see, perhaps, the addresses of branded service centers. There are several of them in the country.

The box has an external 45W (15V/3A) power supply with connection wires. This is a small unit in a plastic box with LED indication. There is also a branded mat and a wired mouse. It seems to be trifles, but pleasant. The lower part of the mat has a rubberized base, perfectly holds on a smooth table.

Laptop

The laptop case is made of plastic, in this price category you can't count on metal. The top cover has a visual division into 2 parts. This does not mean anything, just a visual effect. The lid opens with one hand, but with difficulty, you have to hold it at the very last moment.

On the lower part, almost 1/3 is occupied by a ventilation hole. It is made in the form of perforations in a plastic case. On the edges, you can see rubber feet and fastening elements in the form of screws. There is the necessary marking and serial number of the device.

There are not many physical interfaces on this laptop, but there are all the necessary ones. On the left side, these are the standard USB, HDMI, external charging port and Type-C, which turned out to be suitable only for data transfer. There is also a hole in a small LED indicator.

On the back side there is a jack for wired headphone connection, a pair of USB connectors. As tests have shown, these two ports have a standard of 2.0, but on the left side it is already 3.2. There is also an RJ45 network connection connector and a power button for the device. Unusually, it is placed on the side edge. In principle, all ports are marked in the form of pictograms. Another ventilation grille stretched across the entire back. The manufacturer has taken great care to remove the heat generated during operation. Although I did not record excessive overheating in the tests.

On the hinged lid there is a screen and a camera. The camera is standard 1.3 megapixels, suitable for video conferencing and Internet calls. The screen has a matte finish, which significantly reduces unpleasant reflections while working in the sun and hides the traces of using the laptop in tablet mode. There are bezels around the screen, but they are minimal and almost blend in with the screen. The hinges seemed quite tight to me and I have to open the laptop with both hands.

Display angles are maximum.

A backlit keyboard is placed on the bottom, and a large touchpad with support for multi-touch and programmable gestures stands out on the rest of the part. The keyboard has a white backlight with several brightness modes and the ability to turn off completely. The key travel is small, just a couple of millimeters. The keyboard has a separate block of numeric keys and many people need it for work.

By the way, the compact size does not interfere with work, typing with both hands and controlling from the touchscreen.

A significant feature of this laptop is the ability to fold the device and turn it into a tablet. This automatically turns off the keyboard and switches control to the touch field of the screen. Although the sensor on the screen also works during keyboard control. It turns out to be a mega-large tablet of 15.6 inches and the possibility of connecting a mouse or other accessories remains. The orientation of the screen is automatically flipped, you don't have to go to the settings. This mode greatly expands the possibilities of use, because working on the screen simplifies typing during some actions. It's a pity that the bottom part is not completely unfastened, but we think then the laptop itself would be much more expensive.

Compared to 14-inch and 17-inch laptops. Larger than a 14-inch laptop, a little heavier, but in terms of performance, it wins significantly. Significantly smaller than a 17-inch laptop, lighter and wins in performance. The laptop has an IPS matrix with a nominal Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 60 hertz. Judging by the marking, this is a matrix from VOE. It is quite difficult to convey the juiciness of the image on the screen with photos, but we liked it, even at nominal settings.

The matrix has uniform illumination around the perimeter.

Before testing, we suggest we take a looking inside the case, as the manufacturer promises we have here 2 slots for installing RAM and the ability to replace the SSD drive. Well, we think you should evaluate the cooling system and the battery. The lower part is removed quite simply, it is held by screws. The cooling system is in the form of a copper tube, but painted black. The battery is 5000 mAh / 38 Wh. The fan has a huge number of blades.

Realtek ALC269 audio chip.

The SSD disk is single-sided with chips from Toshiba, with the declared capacity of 512 GB corresponds. In the future, it can be replaced with a more capacious one, but it will not be possible to install a more nimble one.

Of the two RAM slots, only one is used. A 16 GB "die" from Gowe is installed. This is a double-sided board with SKHinyx chips. Judging by the marking, it is quite fresh, from the beginning of summer 2025. In principle, you can add RAM, but for me personally, 16 GB is more than enough on this laptop, and the increase will not give a big increase in performance, since everything will rest on the processor.

Tests

Since we don't play computer games, except for minesweepers and don't edit videos, we didn't want to invest in a very productive laptop. Let's evaluate the performance of this laptop through a series of popular benchmarks. Once again, we remind you that the AMD Ryzen 3 3200U processor is installed. If you compare it with Intel's laptop processors, it will be the N100 with slight differences. Maximum core frequency up to 3 GHz. AMD Radeon Vega 3 graphics chip with 512 MB of memory.

Next, let evaluate the performance of this laptop in several synthetic tests. The final result in Performance Test is about 1000 points in single-threaded mode and almost 3800 points in multi-threaded mode. Which is comparable to Intel's N100 processor.

Let me remind you that an SSD disk with a Sata interface is installed. Read-write speeds are limited to 415-420 MB/s. The SATA/600 interface is also mentioned in the Crystal Disk Info application.

You can also check if the processor and system are heating under prolonged load. We warmed up the system during testing until the heating stopped and fixed at the average value. It took almost half an hour, and the CPU temperature was in the range of 65-75 degrees. These are not dangerous values for this processor, since the maximum can reach more than 100 degrees, and at the time of idle it will be almost 40 degrees.

During the tests, we took photos using a thermal imager. The power supply warmed up to 65 degrees, and the laptop cooling system to 55 degrees. It is best to place the power supply in an open space and not clutter, otherwise there may be overheating.

Conclusion

The laptop will be relevant when used at home, in the office or on business trips. In this model, a larger screen gives you more perspectives when working in office programs or even games. Although the latest Ryzen 3 3200U is no longer used, it still does not prevent you from playing resource-demanding games, but at medium graphics values. The Ninkear YBOOK 15 stands out over other representatives from the entry-level price category with the ability to transform into a tablet and further upgrade in memory. And the repair will be much cheaper. But the autonomy of the laptop is on average limited to a little over 3 hours of work in office work. Not the best result with a battery capacity of 5000 mAh. By the way, we tested the battery just when writing this review, without fear of accidental shutdown. The Windows 11 Pro operating system is pre-installed with a further update, which means that no additional costs are required. It turned out to be a good replacement for my laptop, which had long needed to be updated. In this laptop, it is also possible to run some games or movies while resting.
