Considering a laptop for purchase is more easy, but considering a convertible laptop is sometimes a conscious choice. In this article, we will look at an unusual laptop, the Ninkear YBOOK 15 laptop, which in appearance, of course, does not differ from an ordinary laptop, but this model has a touch screen and can be transformed into a tablet for use both vertically and horizontally. This model has an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U processor and 16 GB of RAM, which in turn forms a good tandem for stable operation both as a laptop and as a tablet.
Packaging & Picking
The Ninkear YBOOK 15 comes in a regular cardboard box, but when you open it, you can see that the laptop is stowed in another cardboard box, which is fixed on the top and bottom with foam inserts, which provides additional protection during transportation.
Also in the box we can see: a branded pad, a branded mouse, a charger, a manual for use. It's nice to know that the company has taken care of users and supplemented the package with a gift set. The presented set, of course, is difficult to attribute to a game set, but the quality of a simple mouse and a pad, quite good quality.
Appearance
The Ninkear YBOOK 15 laptop is presented in the corporate gray color. This model belongs to the budget option, since the entire body is made of plastic, but I will say right away that the plastic is of very good quality. The top cover is divided into 2 parts and has a glossy and matte finish.
The laptop is installed on 4 rubber feet, which create a small gap for normal air circulation. There are also many holes on the bottom through which air is taken in to cool the internal components. As you can see, there is no access to replace RAM, SSD, etc. on the bottom and if necessary, the user will need to remove the entire bottom cover.
On the left side of the case there is a USB, HDMI, USB Type-C port, and on the side there is also the usual DC port for charging. On the right side, there are 2 USB ports, an RJ45 port, and a headphone jack.
After opening the laptop, we can observe a compact, but at the same time full-fledged keyboard with a numeric keypad. The keyboard has both Russian and English characters. The font is quite standard and you won't have to get used to it. In order to accommodate all the additional buttons in a small keyboard, the manufacturer moved some of the useful FN buttons to the top number pad F1-F11. Just below the keyboard is the touchpad.
As you can understand from the title of the review, we have not just a laptop, but a transformer laptop (tablet). The laptop can be opened 180 degrees as well as 360 degrees and used as a large tablet, thanks to the touch screen. For convenience, the laptop has a position sensor and when you turn the screen, the picture instantly adjusts to any position, whether horizontal or vertical.
Also, the laptop has support for a two-window mode and when using this model in a horizontal position, you can open 2 windows and, for example, watch a presentation of a new product and at the same time sketch text information in a text editor. Conveniently? Yes, more than convenient.
All the features of this model definitely attract attention, but in addition to the features, you also want to understand what the laptop is capable of and what programs or even games it can master. Further in the review, we will analyze the laptop and take a closer look at all its components, as well as test it in some programs and games.
If we talk about the screen, here it is 15.6 inches, and the IPS matrix is 60 Hz, the aspect ratio is 16 x 9. The manufacturer of the matrix is the VOE company, which has proven itself quite well. The screen has touch control with multi-touch support.
The keyboard is backlit only in white, which highlights the outline of the keys and the characters themselves. If you wish, you can turn off the backlight completely and use the laptop without it, thereby increasing the battery life.

The dimensions of the laptop are 35.6 cm x 23 cm.
The laptop has a thickness of 18.6 mm. The convertible laptop weighs 1 kg 652 grams.
BIOS
Going to the BIOS, you can see the familiar old interface with all the familiar tabs. Of course, there is no Russian language and you will have to use and configure everything you need in English the old-fashioned way.
Dismantling and inner peace
In order to get to all the internal components, we need to unscrew quite a lot of screws along the contour of the bottom panel. Note that 2 screws are hidden under the upper rubber feet, and 1 screw is closed with a seal (sticker) in the central part.
Having removed the bottom cover, we can observe a compact motherboard with two slots for installing RAM. From the factory, only 1 RAM stick is installed for 16 GB DDR 4 with a frequency of 2666 MHz and timings of 19-19-19-43. RAM manufacturer "Gowe". RAM is assembled on SKhynix chips. If desired, the RAM can be expanded and 64 GB of memory can be obtained. I also note that the hinges have a reinforced design for maximum reliability.
At the heart of the motherboard is a Ryzen 3 3200U processor, which is manufactured using a 12 nm process and has 2 cores and 4 threads with a maximum frequency of 3500 MHz. This processor supports dual-channel memory mode, but I can't see the point in installing a large amount of RAM. The processor is cooled using a massive copper plate, which has one thermal pipe, through which heat is transferred to an additional heatsink, which is cooled quite efficiently using active cooling (turbine). This cooling is very effective, but at maximum speed it makes itself felt and the user can hear the characteristic noise. A 512 GB m2 SSD is installed as a drive here.
A fairly massive 5000 mAh 38 Wh battery is responsible for the smooth operation of the laptop.
Usage and Testing
Thanks to the m2 SSD drive, the laptop boots the system in 18 seconds. While charging, the laptop consumes only 40 watts.
Built-in speakers produce quite high-quality sound and in general, the maximum volume is quite enough for comfortable viewing of a movie, video, etc. With the help of a thermal imager, you can see the hottest spots of the laptop. During testing, there is a slight heating under the keyboard, which is felt tactilely, but this is not critical, since quite a few models have similar temperatures. If you do not load the laptop, then the heating instantly decreases.
The angles are very decent and even with a large inclination, the picture does not distort or darken.

Using the PerformanceTest utility, we can check each component for performance. After the tests, we get quite normal numbers for a budget laptop.
For more detailed performance information, 2 tests were run in AIDA 64. Upon completion of the tests, we can see that the laptop fully corresponds to the office version for everyday use.
Next, I tested the SSD m2 drive. After testing, we get a read speed of 544 Mb/s and a write speed of 481 Mb/s.

Of course, the laptop can hardly be called a gaming laptop, but it was interesting to see how it would cope with games that still look good and have quite normal graphics for everyday gaming in their free time.
In Crysis 2, we get a stable 25-30 FPS, which is quite enough for a comfortable game.
In the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl we get around 100 FPS, of course, the quality in the game does not reach modern games, but once this game was very demanding among gamers.

In conclusion, I can say that the Ninkear YBOOK 15 convertible laptop for its quite budget price looks quite appropriate and definitely attracts attention, thanks to the touch screen and the ability to fold 180 - 360 degrees. In different stores, the laptop costs differently, but you should count on a price of 24 to 27 thousand rubles The laptop has a not very powerful processor, but it will be quite enough for undemanding games, office programs, movies, editors, etc.
