Packaging & Picking

It is worth noting that the new Ninkear model has worked on the packaging. And now we are greeted by a new cardboard box in corporate colors, with an opening lid on magnets.

The S14 package is made on a special design, and inside among other accessories we have one mouse which looks inexpensive, in fact it is a good quality mouse.

As for the rest of the equipment, everything is in order here. In addition to the laptop, we have a charger in the kit, of course, type-C. There is also an user manual, a warranty card and a gift set of stickers.

Ninkear is doing all possible provide good services. And yes, the introduction of a 1 kg version of the laptop to the market is just the proof that this is exactly what the buyer asked for. This model comes with stickers which are just a small bonus.

As for the charger, here we have a GAN power supply, with a capacity of 65W. Plug type European, USB Type-C cord removable. In case of anything, you can replace the cord, but here is the case when you don't want to change the cord, because it has a nice fabric braid and is made very well.

The manufacturer of the power supply is N-Tech Electronics LTD under the Intertek brand. Not a very well-known brand outside of China, but here it is considered a fairly good manufacturer of reliable components. The model of the Intertek is A065 power supply.

This laptop can be charged not only with the bundled power supply, but also with any other, with PD support and a power of 65W. Which makes this laptop quite versatile, because for a short time on the road you can get by with an even more compact charger. If you are chasing the minimum weight in the backpack.

Ninkear S14 laptop look

The first thing you pay attention to is the weight. The laptop body is made of aluminum alloy, and thanks to this, the manufacturer has managed to achieve a significant weight reduction. At the same time, the weight is felt very organically, the laptop does not seem empty. This is partly due to the metal body and the very high quality of all elements. The design of the laptop cannot be called unusual, everything here is made in a classic style. Before us is an ordinary diary, in its most utilitarian manifestation. No eye-catching details, or pretentious elements. Only metal and a practical gray color, which becomes closer to silver in the sun. At the same time, the inscription on the lid does not look alien at all.

Now let's look at the ends. If you look at what is available here, you can understand that the manufacturer very consciously selected the connectors. On the left side there is an HDMI connector and two full-fledged Type-C ports. Judging by the characteristics, they are equivalent. They can be used for charging, for connecting any devices, and even for displaying images on external monitors. Between the Type-C connectors, you can see an LED charging indicator. A handy little thing that allows you to make sure your laptop is charging without having to turn it on.

On the right side there is another type-C port, also fully functional. AUX 3.5mm headphone port and standard USB A connector of Gen 3.2 version.

In fact, connecting any devices with such a set will not be difficult. But sometimes people will maybe complain about the lack of a slot for microSD memory cards. But this is more of a tribute to traditions, for example, and many people stopped using such a connector a long time ago. But it is still important for many, although a high-speed card reader will be both more convenient and usually faster.

On the underside there is a grille for air intake to the cooling system. Comfortable, neat silicone legs and two speakers that look down and slightly to the side.

By the way, the sound here is more or less normal in volume, but as usual flat and not expressive. Unfortunately, this is a common practice for all manufacturers. And if we need it to sound good, then only the speaker will help out.

Now open the lid and see what's inside.

We are greeted by a compact 14-inch screen (more on it later), and above it is a webcam and microphones. There is a mechanical camera shutter. This is already a standard that is mandatory. Especially for a laptop like the Ninkear S14, which many will definitely choose as a laptop for travel. Well, the most convenient way to keep in touch when traveling is with a camera. And the presence of a curtain on it makes it safer.

As for the keyboard, here we have a fairly wide layout of keys. Despite the compact size, the manufacturer did not sculpt a digital block here trying to cram in the unstuffed, but simply removed it. As a result, we got a very convenient comfortable keyboard, with the correct arrangement of the keys. The keyboard backlight is there, it works adequately, it has three levels.

Below the keyboard there is a touchpad with a fingerprint sensor inscribed in it. Very conveniently implemented, and most importantly, its very presence is a plus.

The touchpad works adequately, the clicks are not too loud, gestures are supported. It is convenient to use such a touchpad, and there is no desire to run to look for a mouse. But this is of course provided that you know how to use the touchpad, gestures and other amenities that are implemented in Windows 11.

Ninkear S14 Laptop Screen

Now let's look at the laptop screen. Here it is really worth attention. 14 inches with a resolution of 2240*1400 yes. very juicy and high-quality picture.

My test images showed exceptional juiciness and a complete absence of any distortion at any viewing angle.

We also checked the screen through the Montest service. No dead pixels were detected, the matrix itself is as smooth as possible, and the illumination is uniform. And the frames do not cover anything superfluous.

Visually, the picture itself is close to 100% SRGB, which is stated by the manufacturer.

To be honest, it is a pleasure to use such a screen. It is so pleasant in everyday use. Of course, this is not AMOLED, but this is really a very, very high-quality IPS matrix, which in some points may be even better than AMOLED, and for some people even more comfortable. In addition, the price tag does not hit the pocket. So the second direct imb and imho plus of this laptop is just the screen. Well, the filling here is also very good. And we move on to it.

Tests and benchmarks. What the Ninkear S14 can do

As expected, we start with CPU-Z, which shows us that the laptop is built around an AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor. This processor has 6 cores and 12 threads, and the frequency can go up to 4.55 GHz in a turbo boom.

In terms of compatibility, it is a processor for an AMD Socket FP7 socket with a TDP of 35W. It supports DDR5-4800 memory. And it is installed on laptops with the Rembrandt-R architecture. The multiplier is locked.

Just in case, we will also attach a screenshot from the GPU-Z program. To make it clear that this is about the graphics accelerator. But, unfortunately, the program does not display the name of the video accelerator correctly. Here it is AMD Radeon 660M.

The system shows that it's just AMD Radeon Graphics. A typical situation is with AMD's built-in video cores.

Well, having considered the filling, let's proceed to the tests. First of all, the already familiar PerformanceTest Evaluation Version

According to the results of the test, we get a good 4829.3 points, which just correspond to the capabilities of the AMD Ryzen 5 7535H processor. We need to understand that if we need something more powerful, then it is either a full-fledged video card (expensive) or something on the Radeon 780M (more expensive and hotter).

Next, we run 3DMark tests. Steel Nomad Light scored 1370 points and Storage benchmark score 1776 points.

Good results were also scored in the PCMark10 benchmark for evaluating office systems

A total of 5171 points, which suggests that the laptop will cope with any everyday tasks without difficulty. Still, we have a universal option, a kind of diary for household tasks. Office, browser, multimedia, instant messengers. It will work well and quickly. By the way, on this laptop you can easily work with Photoshop in lightroom, and even edit a simple video. And benchmarks only confirm this.

For example, the following benchmark is Cinebench R23 with 8229 points in a multicore test and 1402 points in a single core. It's even more powerful than the Intel Core i7-1165G7.

The built-in storage has shown very good results. Up to 3600MB/s read and up to 3100MB/s write. Such a drive will clearly not slow down the system.

Next, you can see what AIDA64 will show us. First of all, I launched built-in benchmarks

And then we ran a system stability test. We took readings through the HWiNFO utility.

Judging by the indicators, Aida properly loaded the processor. It even managed to warm up to 92 degrees at its peak, but on average it stayed within 82 degrees. At the same time, the system worked at TDP up to 38W, and the frequency rose to 4600MHz. Very decent, however, after stabilization, we got work at a frequency of 3600MHz. Which means that the laptop still has a power reserve. At the same time, it should be understood that we have a compact laptop in which there is simply no way to put a high-performance cooling system. Based on this, we consider the readings to be very worthy.

Next, we launched the OCCT benchmark, in which we first ran the built-in benchmarks. The results are below.

And then we ran the built-in stress test in Power mode. Let's see what we got.

This is not the first time we have noticed that OCCT loads the system weaker than Aida64, but nevertheless it has a much larger number of stress tests, so it is useful. In addition, here you can clearly see what happens to the system in real time. And in real time, the laptop calmly digested the load, keeping the temperature around 79 degrees with a TDP of 25-30W.

All this only means that you will not have any questions in ordinary tasks. This laptop is small, compact, and nimble. But by the way, one more point. Battery and autonomy.

Here we find it difficult with a full-fledged test, because recently the test in PCMark 10 has ceased to be adequate. But even it shows up to 9 hours of battery life. Which is very worthy.

And if this time is not enough, and the socket is not at hand. You can use a power bank. For example, I've been doing this for a long time, and due to a good 20,000mAh power bank up to, we add a few more hours to the autonomy of the laptop, without worrying about the outlet.

What's inside the Ninkear S14 laptop?

After benchmark tests, you can open your laptop and see what's inside. To do this, you need to unscrew several (many) screws and remove the cover. Under it, access to the motherboard opens. By the way! Before any actions with the filling of laptops, the first thing you need to do is turn off the battery. Otherwise, there may be not very pleasant moments that can cost a lot. Therefore, of course, we immediately threw the battery away, even before we started taking photos of the insides of the laptop.

Despite the compact size of the laptop, the layout here is quite neat, logical and there is even more free space. Most of the space is taken up by the battery.

If anything, here is a closer photo.

Battery capacity 5195mAh (60.01Wh). Model AEC527581-3S1P-N. Manufacturer: Apower Electronics Co., Ltd (Large and Famous Manufacturer of Battery Packs for Various Electronics)

The SSD is fast NVMe manufactured by Faspeed. We have already seen its speeds.

The processor here has a thermal interface on two copper heat pipes, and all the hot air is blown outside by a high-speed turbine.

The S14's RAM is soldered. On the motherboard you can see rayson RS1g32l05 chips of 4Gb each. This is LPDDR5 memory. Its advantages are that the speed is very high. The disadvantages are that it cannot be replaced if you want to increase the volume. But for now, in 2025, 16GB is enough for more than all tasks. Moreover, this is not a gaming laptop.

It is also worth noting the very high quality and literacy of the assembly of elements.

In general, we did not find any critical issues inside the laptop. Below are more photos that we took internally.

Well, now you can assemble your laptop and move on to conclusions and results.

Findings

Sometimes it seems that the perfect laptop does not exist. They always saved something somewhere, cut it, did not think it through. But the Ninkear S14 is just the rare case when everything turned out almost perfectly. It is light, neat, with a good screen and quite cheerful hardware. It's not a gaming monster or a workstation replacement, but as an all-in-one "everyday" laptop, it's really very good.

The very first thing that captivates is, of course, weight. One kilogram! Years later, with heavy laptop models in your backpack, it's just a breath of freedom. In addition, the body is made of aluminum, no feeling of "dummy". The build is of very high quality, the keyboard is comfortable, the touchpad is with a fingerprint. Everything is thought out and this laptop directly says: take me with you wherever you go.

The screen is a whole different story. Excellent IPS matrix with honest 2.2K resolution, juicy picture and natural color reproduction. Working, watching videos or even taking photos is one continuous pleasure. And compact frames make everything even cozier.

As for performance, the Ryzen 5 7535HS confidently copes with all everyday tasks. From office chores to working with photos and basic editing, the laptop does not slow down, does not heat up excessively and does not make you nervous at all. Although the memory is soldered, it is fast - LPDDR5, and the volume of 16 GB is still enough. The SSD is also fast, the system does not slow down, and benchmarks only confirm this.

We was also pleased with the attention to detail. Compact power supply, fabric cable, normal mouse included, stickers, convenient packaging. All these are trifles, but it is from them that the overall impression is formed. And it is very positive. Ninkear has produced very interesting models before, but this time they have outdone themselves. The Ninkear S14 is a laptop that confidently falls into the niche of the so-called "post-askuns". And he feels confident there.

Conclusion
