To work, people need a laptop that can handle everyday tasks like word processing, web browsing, and email, while also offering solid performance for more demanding applications like spreadsheets and presentations. The device should also give me the opportunity to play games.... As a result, a 16-inch gaming laptop with a discrete graphics card and a powerful processor becomes easily a best option. Ninkear A15 Pro 2025 is Here !
Previously, there is many users who thought that they would easily put up with the size of a gaming laptop because of its performance, and the graphics card would speed up video processing. But it wasn't like that. They turned out that a large and heavy laptop is more conducive to sitting at a desk than to working on the run. The screens of gaming laptops always leave much to be desired, and the autonomy turned out to be very mediocre. Of course, such a "monster" will not be able to charge from the power bank, so you have to carry a power supply which represents the size of half laptop with you. And even with more or less loads, it turns into a rather noisy station.
As users increasingly prioritize compact and budget-friendly laptops, many are turning to value-driven brands. Chinese manufacturers, in particular, have gained significant acceptance for offering substantial savings compared to premium names. This openness makes the new Ninkear A15 Pro 2025, available globally, a compelling option worth a closer look.
Packaging & Picking
The laptop comes in two layers of boxes. No pretentiousness in the design. Just cardboard and the company logo.
Inside, there is a powerful packaging made of foamed polyethylene, so the device should successfully come even from China. And if you consider that Ninkear's warehouses and service centers are already growing globally like mushrooms after the rain, then even more so.
After opening the Packaging, we will find a small 65W charger, with a cable length of 1.3 meters and with a Type-C connector.
The goodies don't end there. As a gift, we were also given a simple optical mouse and a pad, all with brand logos.
Beyond the Specs: Touching on Premium. 🤲 We knew the 2024 model was good, but this year we focused intensely on craftsmanship. The result? A laptop that feels undeniably premium the moment you pick it up.
Key Design Upgrades:
-
All-Metal Construction: Durable metal lids top and bottom for a solid, high-end feel.
-
Sleek Top: Minimalist with just a refined corner logo.
-
Functional Base: Integrated rubber feet keep it steady, the spec sticker is cleanly placed, and air intakes are subtly designed for optimal airflow.
From the cooling, you can immediately noticed the very comfortable rounded corners of the edges. With such a laptop, you can work even lying on the couch, it does not crash into the body. And the weight is also comfortable - 1.8 kg.
It is worth clarifying, this is the version of the laptop from 2025, they only have the same model names, and the filling has changed a lot, so it is worth checking the year of production before buying. Numeric and alphabetic information about the model is printed on the sticker.
On the rear end, we see only the plastic of the hinges, the outlets for removing warm air from the eyes are hidden.
Not, let especially and meticulously examine the ends of the laptop on the right and left for the interfaces used. And here everything is decent with this. The laptop has two USB Type-C (3.2 Gen 2 standard) with speeds of up to 10 Gbps, supporting both charging up to 65W when using a charger with USB Power Delivery (PD) support, and video transfer. Also HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A.
There is a Kensington lock, a microSD card reader, USB 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
We double-checked all USB standards using USB Device Tree Viewer 4.3.4.
The laptop looks great, opens a maximum of 140 degrees, has small bezels and large buttons. As soon as we open the lid, we see a huge touchpad and a fingerprint sensor in its upper left corner.
The buttons are large, great for typing, the keyboard has a two-level backlight and a full-fledged block of numeric keys. Activated CAPS and NUM modes are displayed by their own LEDs above the keyboard.
The laptop caught my attention with a good display. In many cases, people have to spend a lot of time editing photos, different file, and various projects, so the correctness of color reproduction is important.
Ninkear A15 Pro has a 16-inch BOE NE160QDM-NY2 matrix with 100% sRGB coverage and good viewing angles - quite suitable for photo editing.
The screen resolution is 2560×1600 and the frequency is 120 Hz. Neither brightness nor colors change when viewed from the side, and the matte surface perfectly resists glare.
Exploitation
The laptop does not unfold widely, but this is quite enough for any work scenarios. The 2024 version could unfold up to 180 degrees, in the 2025 version, the maximum opening angle is 140 degrees.
The device runs Windows 11 Pro and its AMD Ryzen 5 7430U processor gives the expected performance. You can even convert 4K videos on it, although with noticeable anticipation. It confidently edits photos even with Generative Fill neural network processing in Photoshop (The screenshot below we got them in russian language due to the Windows OS installed).
Such a processor is not bad for work: decent performance is combined with moderate heat dissipation, even one cooler can cope with its cooling.
For additional speed, we installed a 1 TB SSD drive with nominal speeds of about 3500 MB/s. Also inside, under the cover, we will find 2 DDR4 RAM slots in SO-DIMM format. One slot is occupied by a 16GB stick, the second is free for further upgrades. You can buy another bar and then the total will be 32GB of RAM. For an upgrade, there is also a free M.2 slot for another drive.
Wi-Fi connection speeds are limited by the capabilities of the Realtek RTL8852BE network adapter, which is up to a maximum of 1.2 Gbps. They are kept at 300 Mbps in the 5 GHz range.
The camera is only for video communication, there is no physical shutter. For those who are interested in benchmark screenshots, we will attach the results of Cinebench R23, GeekBench and 3DMark.
Such results hint that it will be possible to play. This is true, but with the caveat that you need to choose the smallest graphics parameters and small resolutions. For example, in Counter-Strike 2, you can hack with an FPS of 28-30 at a resolution of 1920×1200. In PUBG: Battlegrounds, at 1920×1080 resolution, we get an average of 20 FPS.
There is no heating, even the WASD area heats up to 39°C. So that's fine. And the cooler is practically not heard at all. The fingerprint sensor fires 10 out of 10 times, which is essential for on-the-go performance. We also note that the laptop is strong, the hinges are screwed to the metal of the case, and their elasticity is ideal for good stability of the lid when open and lifting it with one hand. There are enough ports on all sides, and there is no Ethernet, due to the fact that it is no longer necessary, because with 6th generation Wi-Fi networks, you can safely do without it. We think the LAN connector is becoming a thing of the past after the CD/DVD drive. For watching movies, we would choose external speakers, because the speakers built into such a thin case, of course, are not pleasing, but there is an almost silent cooler.
The battery lasts for 6 hours of screen operation with full backlight. For a live assessment, we shot a video review. There we played, and opened it with one hand.
As a result, we realized that power and performance do not always mean the right choice for work. Today we opted for compactness, a good screen, albeit at the expense of performance. You can play at home on Play Station 5, but work should be comfortable everywhere: in a café, on the couch, and in a hammock by the sea. Of course, we could have chosen a more famous brand, but we don't see any point in overpaying for electronics, which quickly become obsolete, if this set of hardware, matrix and ergonomics suits me more than enough.
