In our time of the heyday of neural networks and AI, the cost of computer devices has become simply incredibly high. And when you want to choose a computer not for games, but so that you can give it to your child, do office work at home, prepare a report, connect a printer and print photos, it is always recommended to paying attention to a mini PC. This is the very case when all office tasks are done easily, and you do not need to allocate a lot of space for this. Well, this choice saves the budget well.
The computer comes in two layers of boxes. The inner box is a black strong cube on which the name of the product is written and a sticker with its parameters is located.
The kit includes everything you need for the first switch-on, not counting the peripherals. Usually Ninkear also gives a mouse, but here, apparently, it just did not fit into the box.
Inside we find:
- 65W power supply;
- a set of documentation, including a warranty card (yes, the company gives a warranty for its products, moreover, it has service centers in our country, thanks to Semyon);
- Monitor mount
- HDMI to HDMI cable.
Let’s take a closer look at the Ninkear M7
We planned to hang the mini-computer behind the monitor, since there is a mount for this in the kit, but it surprised me with its appearance. Such a Mini-PC can be safely placed on the desktop so that it decorates it and fits into the overall design of the workplace. The entire Mini-PC case is made of metal, even the cover, which means it should be quite sturdy and dissipate heat from the CPU more efficiently. On top of the lid there is a geometric pattern and the company logo. It all looks stylish and concise. It remains to tidy up the wires beautifully and the overall look with the monitor will be wonderful.
On the front side, there are two USB 3.0 ports and a power button with unobtrusive backlighting. The ends are decorated only with slots for cooling.
The opposite front end contains all other interfaces: 3.5mm, 2x HDMI 2.0, RJ45, Type-C, 2x USB 2.0. It's good when you can connect two monitors at the same time. And we are also pleased with the Type-C connector - now all cables for communication with smartphones have begun to switch to the PD standard.
It is curious that the USB connectors are colored blue, although in fact they are USB 2.0 (we will clearly demonstrate in the tests below) - such is the marketing...
Well, the bottom cover of the computer is also made of metal, with rubber feet, in which the fastening screws are hidden. It has a label with the serial number and power parameters.
Ninkear M7 Mini-PC Work Performances
The computer was chosen to work in Windows OS, so it was important to have a pre-installed operating system of this family. At the same time, the issue of some savings was solved - the price tag for a Windows 11 Pro license now reaches a third of the cost of this mini PC.
So, this PC runs on Windows 11 Pro and an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U processor. All drivers are installed in the dispatcher, and the "cherry on the cake" is to update everything and everything through the official Windows Update procedures, you do not need to visit the official website of the company, download something, everything will install itself, even if you want to demolish the system and install it again. Otherwise, the usual wallpaper, a clear shell and features. Right out of the box, the built-in graphics card connected to a monitor with 4K support and a frequency of 120 Hz. An SSD drive is defined as a Faspeed P8.
Let's check the capabilities of the bundled SSD drive. It has quite a good, albeit budget, SSD: speeds of 3000-3500 MB/s for reading and writing.
And here is a check of the rear USB ports: despite the blue coloring, the speeds of the USB2.0 standard. What we liked was the ubiquitous support for connected devices with dynamic lighting. Any device with RGB lighting control is automatically connected and controlled from the standard Windows interface.
Such performance is easily suitable for office applications, programs for novice coders (my sons are taking courses, they liked it), watching videos, printing photos and documents.
It seems that we can end here, but this is not enough for us. Let's conduct a full test of the "iron". We are not a supporter of children's games on PC, so these features are not important to me. But we will check it anyway.
Tests and Gaming
To begin with, let's go through standard benchmarks so that we can roughly compare the level of this PC.
Cinebench R23 showed a result slightly higher than the Intel Xeon 3265M. During the maximum load in the tests, it did not heat up above 88.3 ° C. And this is not enough for us, so we will put the AIDA 64 test on stress for ten hours. As a result, there are no performance drops or overheating. The temperature in the top is not higher than 86.5 ° C. And the cooling system is so quiet that you can't hear the sound of the cooler at all, you begin to doubt its "activity". What if there is such a passive? Let's check below.
Check the Wi-Fi connection level. Yes, yes, it has Gigabit Ethernet, but we are used to using the Internet only over the air, so it's an important issue for me. So. Internet reception in the 5 GHz band is quite acceptable. The Internet speed, even in the far room from the router through three walls, reaches 120 Mb/s.
Let's start playing. Of course, such a processor will not allow you to play modern cool games. So, Atomic Hearts and A plague tales requiem gave no more than 10 FPS at the lowest settings. "Go straight to the cart."
Tanks can be run at a minimum and at a resolution of 1280 * 720, which will give us about 40 fps - quite playable, although the graphics are not very good.
The processor never overheated.
What is Inside Ninkear M7 Mini-PC
Unscrew 4 screws, remove the cover. Inside the Faspeed P8 M.2 NMVe SSD at 512 GB. RAM from the same brand, one bar for 16 GB. We strongly recommend adding another bar of RAM (there is a free slot) and you will get a confident increase in performance, because the processor can work in dual-channel mode. You need DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM. There's also an M2 slot to add another SSD. Realtek RTL8852BE is responsible for the wired gigabit connection.
Conclusion
Ninkear has a very solidly assembled machine. There is no heating at all, and quite understandable performance with the possibility of a slight upgrade, which even a schoolchild can cope with...
The mini PC is great for basic office tasks, has modern interfaces, and can connect to two monitors. Plus, there is a good level of Wi-Fi and connecting external devices via Bluetooth...
